mr. walsh

Once again, I am wondering to myself...how am I so blessed? I have heard it said, "If you love what you do, it will never be a job." That quote has been going through my head all week long. As I have been scrambling to finish wedding & portrait editing, I have been sitting at my computer feeling utterly full. You know when you are starving on Thanksgiving...and your stomach is growling throughout the entire parade...and then you sit down and feast with your family & loved ones? That's what I am feeling at this point in my photographic journey. I am so in love (it sounds cheesy, but it is SO true!) with my clients and their little families or their "new family" as newlyweds... I love my non-job. :)

A few weeks ago, I arrived at Walsh's home...he is two and so full of joy! I swear, he is going to be a little engineer or invent something spectacular. I hadn't seen him in a year and this is the third time I've gotten to photograph him. I was greeted with, "Jenny's here! Jenny's here! Hi, Jenny, you're here!!!" I was totally in awe of how big he had grown and his extensive little vocabulary...of course, mom Mary had helped him with my name beforehand. But, still, what a welcome! I am not a crier, but my eyes did well with tears a little to see how much Walsh had grown. It's an amazing thing to watch children develop and their little personalites emerge.

Sean, Mary, and Walsh, I had so much fun with you! I hope you enjoy your pictures as much as I enjoyed Mr. Walsh.

I love love love these pictures. He's even precious when he's crying! Dad legs are the best for crying.

What a cutie, love his little ears. Isn't it fun to watch them grow? I really like the first one with the window. What a creative angle on the portrait!
