luckiest catch viewing party

Last Thursday night I had the opportunity to attend the Komo 4 viewing party of the Luckiest Catch at the beautiful Salish Lodge in Snoqualmie. It was a one hour special following the off season of Sig Hansen from the hit show the Deadliest Catch.

I have always wondered about the news media...I grew up watching Steve Pool do the weather and I want to know, does he still smile that big sitting in traffic? Does Kathi Goertzen go out grocery shopping in sweats and no make up? I would love to see them on the weekend just doing there thing. Anyway, Mike Ferreri was the host of the evening and the passion behind the special. And folks, he really is a genuinely nice guy (as I'm sure Steve and Kathi are, too!) They have a really amazing group of camera men, writers and editors. The special was entertaining, witty and definately kept my attention. And news flash! (I couldn't resist) More than my elbow or back of my head made it to tv! It was exciting and luckily my stint was short enough to still keep me unrecognizable in Fred Meyer. Anyway, I had a great time and can't wait to watch this season of the Deadliest Catch! Hope you enjoy the photos. :)

That's Sig's mom on the far right...isn't she cute?
